Cruise Control for Sabato De Sarno’s First Cruise Collection for Gucci
Creative Director Sabato De Sarno presented his first ever cruise collection for Gucci in London this week. It’s a colorful offering, pairing light pastels with punched up primary colors and there’s an abundance of texture given the many leather, silk, metallic, lace and chiffon get ups.
Structured outerwear and embellished denim juxataposed one another and frothy gowns in buttery hues closed out the show, prefaced by shimmering numbers short and tall in a bevy of metallic options. A subtle, but mighty highlight is a black tap suit with lace accents- a piece sure to be picked up in many an editorial. Another commercial favorite will likely be the rainbow colored pussy bow shirts- with almost every other look sporting one of the gossamer elements.
It was an absolute who’s who of celeb and VIP attendees for the anticipated collection. The front row saw many an A List name from the likes of musician Solange Knowles to actress Demi Moore, iconic Blondie lead singer Debbie Harry, actor Paul Mescal, songstress Dua Lipa, actress Daisy Edgar-Jones and super model Kate Moss.
