CHANEL’s Fall-Winter 2023/24 Collection Is an Ode to Camellias
Brand Creative Director Virginia Viard says in an exclusive statement that the use of the iconic House flower was intentional, as “I find it reassuring and familiar, I like its softness and its strength.” The camellia is riddled throughout the collection presenting a soft, undeniable feminine aura.
House ambassador and actress Nana Komatsu, photographed by Inez & Vinoodh holds a stunning camellia for the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2023/24 Ready-to-Wear collection in a pre-recorded video for the brand.
Adding to the dreamy collection, Viard boasts; “The faded colours, the dusky pink, the crafted pieces, the touches of 1960s and 70s, a certain English vibe, the comfortable, enveloping coats, the authentic materials, make the collections more real, and more charming too.”

The House bloom, made of 25 petals, was printed onto everything from coats to 3D embellishments on knitted shorts and dresses. Joy and romanticism ooze from these selects on the runway.
Additionally, the flower decal can be found on purse offerings and the footwear including sandals and a dotted black boot motif; while models wore white hair clips in the shape of a camellia.
VIP’s in attendance included actress Penelope Cruz, singer FKA Twigs, Blackpink’s Jennie Kim, Park Seo Joon, Tommy Dorfman, Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson and more.
