Clean Classics Get Revamped for Ferragamo Fall Winter 2023
The House of Ferragamo presented a stellar showing for FW 2023 that included an elevation of basics and staple men and womenswear. Structured blazers, long coats and form fitting sweaters riddled the runway. Interesting plays on silhouettes and accessories (punchy buttons, asymmetrical fastenings and unexpected pocket details- just to name a few) were also in abundance.
A vocabulary of slashes disturbs a classic sensibility: sharply-sliced suiting, or leathers which unzip to reveal flashes of colour, speak both to Davis’ exacting aesthetic and the disruptive spirit of fifties greasers.

Suede, leather, furs and denim were showcased paired with simplistic, clean lines. Bold cherry red, cobalt blue and jazzy yellow accents provided a zap of energetic color. In a stunning feat, the House chooses to utilize Exotic prints taken from the archives [where they] are scanned and manipulated before appearing screen-printed onto shearling, or leather and ponyskin accessories, with a slight distortion “to make them feel like heirloom pieces, taken from the past but brought into the future.”
Timeless jewelry in a Bakelite style are offered in various resin and silver or gold options. A feminine undertone enlivens the pieces- seductive curves, bulbous baubles and sleek cuts all contribute to a particularly elevated and satisfyingly luxe.
