Bright Lights, Big City for Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2022 Collection
Terminal 5 in Manhattan was the home base for the Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2022 collection and also marked the brand’s first time presenting in the evening. The runway was emulated after New York’s uplifting, vibrant nightlife complete with lights resembling the backdrop of the cities’ lights.
“For this show, I wanted to bring the excitement and energy of a night on the town to life—because I think right now, no matter where you are, we’re all craving that,” says Michael Kors. “And the clothes are really everything you need for stepping up, stepping out and making an entrance.”
The star-studded front row included celebrities such as Blake Lively, Brooke Shields, Ariana DeBose, Lady Eliza, Lady Amelia Spencer, and even New York City’s mayor, Eric Adams.
Grammy-Award winning artist Miguel performed live as models such a Bella and Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Irina Shayk, Karmen Pedaru and others traipsed down the runway.
Longtime admirers of the brand can expect tailored separates and a neutral color palette including creamy caramels, chocolatey browns and soft greys. Other than a few pops of color (amber and yellow in particular), Dressy layers that can easily be dressed up or down are a-plenty. It’s tried and true Michael Kors to its core.
