New Film Showcasing Behind-the-Scenes at Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta Creative Director Matthieu Blazy boasts the following about his new film, Craft In Motion; “I think luxury is something you feel rather than see; it is much more personal and emotive for the person wearing the clothing than for those looking at them. I want the wearer to be empowered without the clothing being loud. It is style over fashion in its timelessness.”
Shot on location at the brand’s atelier located in Montebello Vicentino, northern Italy the film gives audiences a rate behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship of the workshop set to a first person narrative. The special window inside the inner workings also includes a glimpse of the infamous Intrecciato.
The film, narrated by Ruggero Negretto, and ty released on April 17th, embraces and highlights the brand’s unique attention to detail and understated luxury.
Blazy had the following to say regarding creation of his debut collection; “Craft is not a ‘trend’. Neither is it something that has to be improved. It is a timeless technology. The irregularities of handwork make each Bottega Veneta design unique. This for me is true luxury.”
