Comfort is Key for Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2021 Show
With an understated palette and plenty of wool and knit fabrics, the Lous Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection may very well be one of the most approachable presentations of the season. Everything has a function and place—no frills or outlandish embellishment, save for a few exaggerated shoulders and pant legs sprinkled throughout.
Set to the iconic backdrop of the Louvre, House Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière collabs with renowned Italian artistic design atelier Fornasetti.
One can’t help but think of elevated streetwear, perfect for living life fashionably. Hints of athleisure peek through in pops of nylon and bright colors. Splashes of couture are abundant in tulle hems and Fornasetti is ever-apparent in the signature drawings of ancient statues that have been fashioned into bold patterns strewn across cocktail dresses, outerwear and more.
“Our vision has always been to bring Fornasetti’s unique artistic imagination to people through beautifully crafted objects, and this rewarding collaboration represents a new opportunity to expand and explore its visual creativity.” — Nicolas Ghesquière, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton
Ghesquière beautifully embodies both Houses’ signature facets in a shared voyeuristic feat that blends Louis Vuitton’s modern creativity and Fornasetti’s visionary depictions.
