CHANEL Presents the Ultimate in Refined Streetwear for Fall Winter 2021-22 Collection
Sequin ballet flats, minaudières (worn as necklaces), a navy lurex suit with men’s shirting offset by a white collar and cuffs and a tweed kilt paired with an embellished knitted jumpsuit with iridescent fibers are just some of the many offerings from the Chanel Fall Winter 2021-2022 Collection.
Accessibility is apparent in the various laidback materials such as denims and cottons paired with classic House fabrications and knits.
“I love contrasts, so for the more voluminous winter pieces, I wanted a small space. I don’t know if this is because of the times we live in, but I wanted something warm, lively. I imagined the models doing a show for themselves, going from room to room, crossing each other in staircases, piling their coats up in the cloakroom and going up to the next floor to get changed.”— Virginie Viard, Creative Director of Chanel
Dynamic duo Inez and Vinoodh were tasked to come up with both the photo and video collages for the collection.
Celebrities and brand ambassadors who joined in for the virtual festivities included Margaret Qualley, Caroline de Maigret, Koni Chan, Nana Komatsu, Jennie Ruby Lane, Angele, Michel Gaubert, Soo Joo Park, Whitney Peak, Liu Wen, Amanda Sanchez and more.
