Archival Inspiration Breathes New Life into the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring Summer 2022 Collection
The House of Ferragamo returned to the runway after a 12 month (!) hiatus due to the pandemic. Set at the historic Rotonda della Besana was transformed with pillars and mirrors and a saturated red hue to emphasize the dramatic return.
As many brands have done, Ferragamo went back to the basics. They reinvented best-selling silhouettes and pieces and gave the clothing an approachability that sparks joy in every day wear.

“This special season we reconnect with that wellspring of the house to present a collection that draws inspiration from the spectrum of beauty and recontextualizes it for a new time: for the now.”
Flanked by a neutral color palette injected with rich saturated hues, the collection easily transforms from day to night. Digging into their archives- a 1970’s tiger print is reinvigorated to reflect today’s tastes.
The accessories also got reworked with their Bohemian blogs now offered in new materials and a men’s sandal reimagined from an archival Ferragamo sketch. The iconic Ferragamo Studio Bag and Trifolio have been updated with new color-ways, materials and silhouettes based off vintage selects.
