Celebration of the Foulard for Versace Spring/Summer 2022
The new collection boasts new takes on the iconic foulard, the infamous slash dress and even new bodies for the best-selling La Medusa handbag line.
The foulard is a fundamental component of Versace’s heritage and character. It’s acted as a canvas for our iconic prints and is worn in multiple ways from knotted tops to headscarves to bag accessories, it’s a way of adding Versace attitude to any look. The foulard has been with us since the very beginning of the brand, but this season turns everything on its head, it is no longer fluid or dreamy, the scarf is provocative, sexy, wound tight. – Donatella Versace
The face of Versace’s Fall/Winter 2021 campaign, singer Dua Lipa opened the show with tracks from her Grammy-winning album Future Nostalgia blaring in the background. Brand favorite, “It Girl” model Gigi Hadid appeared donning the infamous safety pin dress. Familiar color bursts are toned down by the presence of luxurious black offerings. Also spotted on the runway was Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon. Supermodel Naomi Campbell strutted the catwalk in addition to Irina Shayk.
This season further offers brand code La Greca alongside Royal Rebellion, Banquet Aftermath (home) and Acid Bouquet.
