Longstanding Friendship Fuels Mutually Respected Surprise Merge of Versace and Fendi
In a surprise turn that spectators didn’t see coming, the houses of Versace and Fendi came together for a limited edition collection with a presentation entitled Fendace.
VERSACE BY FENDI takes notes from the 90’s and experiments with the Versace Greek motif and Fendi’s monogram pattern. FENDI BY VERSACE is heavily influenced by punk rock, as seen with the use of thick chain mail juxtaposed against lace.
The creative directors behind both brands were quick to address that this not to be viewed as a collaboration but more as a melding of the minds to create something that evokes Freedom, Fun and Virtuosity.
