A Spectator’s Delight at Prada Men’s Fall/Winter 2022
Prada’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection was shown inside the Deposito at Fondazione Prada, Milan. Strong silhouettes and a bold approach to outwear prove to be standout moments in the collection. Double breasted blazers juxtapose athleisure separates that are sprinkled throughout the collection.
The brand wanted to accentuate and heighten the realm of stage and action and employed ten Hollywood actors to be featured walking down the runway including; Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Asa Butterfield, Jeff Goldblum (who closed the show), Damson Idris, Kyle MacLachlan (the show opener), Tom Mercier, Jaden Michael, Louis Partridge, Ashton Sanders and Filippo Scotti.

Garments exemplify a constructed modernism, their inherent architecture serving to define shape and form. The body is given emphasis, shoulders and waist delineated through traditional tailoring, a silhouette then transmuted to everyday garments, the two disciplines not only juxtaposed but brought together as one.
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons do not stray far from the brand’s iconic tailoring. Although streetwear does make an appearance the lines are clean, hems crisp and colors saturated. Longtime fans won’t be disappointed.
