Prada Fall/Winter 2021 Menswear Collection “Possible Feelings”

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have given the fashion world a new dimension by combining classic and boundary-pushing movements in their first menswear collection. The “Possible Feelings” theme lays out the notion of freedom in the human body, the pleasure of tactility and the personal desire for contact.

Prada’s iconic geometric patterned jacquard-knit bodysuit serves as a “second skin” to outline the figure in dynamic movement. These were seen prevailing the stage along with outerwear that boasts constructed silhouettes in leather and bouclé tweeds, such as double-breasted coats, peacoats in striking pastel, oversized bombers with triangular utilitarian pouches as well as a range of wool suits.

A unique ramp walk

The show was broadcasted in an angle to the sequence of rooms where the models walked and danced through isolated passages. The viewing experience was made seductive with an original soundtrack by Plastikman (Richie Hawtin). Inspired by the collection, the stage was made exceptional by the use of furry textured walls, marble, resin and carpets of different colors that denotes juxtaposition and convey dualities.

The stage will also be upcycled after the show and it will be donated to Meta—a circle economy project based in Milan that offers sustainable solutions to waste disposal companies. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons later attended the questions from students all over the world in an online conference.
