Upcycling is Key for the Next Generation with Coach’s Spring 2023 Runway Show
Held at the Park Avenue Armory, Coach unveiled their Spring 2023 collection helmed by creative director Stuart Vevers. The offerings explore new and improved ways to reimagine existing creations in the fashion world’s quest to promote and utilize sustainability.
To tell this story on the runway, I imagined a Coach world inspired by New York City’s piers, a place with a unique cultural legacy, and a unique feeling of possibility. – Stuart Vevers

Featuring the latest member of the Coach Family—artist, singer and songwriter Lil Nas X, in his very first runway appearance, VIP’s including Debby Ryan, Conan Gray, Doja Cat, Charlie XCX and more were treated to a mishmash of secondhand fabrications and patterns being revamped for today’s gender neutral and body positive culture. The offerings boast a bustling audience, as the runway show was broadcast in Times Square.
The show opened with choreographed vignettes wherein characters of the Coach pier pass through the space and interact through moments of happenstance.
In a first of its kind, the infamous Tabby bag was presented in new styles including a messenger bag and another option in a playful jelly material. Escapism and a sky-is-the-limit attitude places Coach in the driver’s seat with an appeal to the youth of today.
