Coach debuts ‘Winter’ Collection in Dynamic Shanghai

Coach debuted Stuart Vevers’ winter collection at the Shanghai Exhibition Center with an interactive runway presentation and a special episode of “Coach TV: Live From Shanghai”. The unique hybrid event reflected the optimism of Shanghai’s next generation, and it was aired live across the globe, marking the house’s return to the runway. This collection, which features Shanghai residents in a local cast, combines elements of American pop culture, nostalgia, and even a few allusions to the city’s energy.

“Our winter collection is inspired by a sense of adventure and our hopes for tomorrow. Building on and re-representing ideas from Fall, it debuts a more honest approach to seasonality whilst expressing my vision for winter, an ode to the attitude of a new generation in Shanghai. The experience I envisioned for our return to the runway combines all that we loved about live shows in the past with all that we’ve learned in the past year. It brings together our Coach Family around the world and reflects our commitment to imagining differently and constantly evolving.”

The collection was created with fall’s forest creatures in mind, and it has a color palette that blends subtle blacks, neutrals, and some brilliant colors to represent Vever’s newly renamed ‘Winter’ collection. Also introduced is a new collection of retro nylon skiwear with vintage-inspired sports graphics, as well as ensembles of lamé cocktail dresses, and blouses with lace and velvet embellishments. In this collection, we will also witness the introduction of new outerwear such as shearling, a house code with multicolored nylon stripping, and the Studio bag in both glovetanned and quilted leathers.
