CHANEL Spring Summer 2024 Haute Couture
CHANEL presented their Spring Summer Haute couture show in Paris, France. The actress Margaret Qualley, who also stars in the brand’s accompanying cinematic piece, opened the show. The softest of pinks, sheer fabrications and fringe/feather accents compromise Chanel’s latest offerings.
Margaret stars in a black and white shot, long (and short version) film Written and directed by Dave Free with a score by Kendrick Lamar. “Beauty within the imperfection of time are words that we live by,” confide David Free and Kendrick Lamar. [] “Every imperfection has a story to tell, just waiting on the next listener to add another page to the book.”
In traditional CHANEL form the spectacular show was closed with a final walk by the CHANEL bride—an off the shoulder voluminous frothy minidress with long train. The shorter cut makes for a risk, given that previous brides have usually been heavily layered and/or long gown offerings.
Special VIP guests aplenty riddled the front row including the likes of Naomi Campbell, Kendrick Lamar, Caroline de Maigret, Lucy Boynton, Bel Powley, Ama Lou, Cecile Cassel and many more.
