Celine at The Wiltern
Once upon a time Los Angeles was absolutely not the place for high fashion. LA is where fashion meets denim, denim and more denim. The West Coast laissez-faire attitude lends itself to a no-fuss approach to the industry that sometimes doesn’t translate to a serious interest in the arts. That however is no longer the case, as the likes of Jeremy Scott, Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and now Celine have brought their unique designs to Californians.
Celine at The Wiltern boasted a bevy of who’s who including top stylists, celebs and iconic figures and an original soundtrack for the brand performed by The White Stripes (written and produced by Jack White). Other musical guests included Iggy Pop, The Strokes Interpol and The Kills dj set.
Slinky, cool girl aesthetic ruled the runway. Lightweight layering, denim and plenty of black leather paired with barely-there sparkly little nothings littered the runway. Skinny scarves, Moto boots and low-slung belts are accessories of the moment.
Celebrity guests in attendance included Austin Butler, Cindy Crawford, Emma Chamberlain, Wiz Khalifa, Brie Larson, Kid Cudi, Emma Roberts and Camille Rowe.
