2024/25 Métiers d’art CHANEL

CHANEL offered a new spin on their usual pastel-heavy and/or candy colored collections for the CHANEL Métiers d’art show in Hangzhou.

Selects were sultry, bold and steeped in gothic thematics. Within the 65 look debut, audiences see the house challenge themselves both in color, print/patterns and proportions. Métiers d’art collection draws its inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s Coromandel screens, that she cherished all her life and that still adorn the walls of her apartment in Paris.

Deeply intricate accents adorne many of the long coat offerings from custom buttons to luxe pockets, heavily embroidered lapels and impeccable tailoring. Tried and true fans of the house will appreciate the new golden and bronzed tweed hues. For those seeking color, there are light blue and deep brown and lavender pieces that will add just the right pop of subdued splash to any winter wardrobe.

Both a custom playlist available on iTunes and Spotify created by Leah Dou and a short film directed by Wim Wenders accompanies the collection.
