Gucci Aria Sparks Hope and a Return to Opulence
Gucci hits it out of the park with their newest offerings, celebrating 100 years of the House. Not only does Creative Director Alessandro Michele join forces with filmmaker Floria Sigismondi to unveil an absolute feast for our eyes, but he’s painted a clear picture of joy, celebration and long-standing tradition.
The collection hints at events and gatherings to come. Opulent baubles (part of Gucci’s High Jewelry collection), equestrian elements (a tribute to the House’s roots and The Savoy hotel, London) and musical inspiration (with logo track suits doused in lyrics by © Sony Music Publishing).
One of the most joyous unions comes from the unexpected pairing of Balenciaga and Gucci in a sure-to-be highly sought after coming together of two major luxury designers. A shimmering two piece suit with both brands’ names in an allover print is a standout in the collection.
Truly outdoing themselves, Gucci led up to the Aria event with a self-directed short film by singer/actress Miley Cyrus and the show’s press release even comes packed with accompanying Spotify and Apple playlists.
Gucci Aria leaves us salivating for a return to flare, with inserts of rich velvet jewel tone hues and rainbow color assorted rhinestone-encrusted heart clutches. Look no further when society rises from the pandemic… Gucci’s ahead of the curve, ready to adorn us in show-stopping pieces.
